Privacy policy

AI Tools Directory collects as little personal data as possible. There are no user accounts, and browsing the directory requires no personal information. By using the site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Contact messages

When you send us a message, we store what you provide (your message, your name if given, and your email address) so we can read it and reply. We also store a salted, one-way hash of your IP address — not the address itself — which we use only to limit automated spam and abuse of the contact form. The hash cannot be reversed to recover your IP address. We do not sell this information or share it with third parties except a service provider strictly needed to operate the site (e.g. our hosting or database provider), and never for their own marketing purposes.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics (such as Vercel Web Analytics) to understand which pages are useful. This does not use advertising cookies or build individual profiles.

Outbound links

Tool listings link to third-party websites we do not control. Once you leave this site, the destination's own privacy policy applies, and we are not responsible for their data practices. Some outbound links are sponsored or affiliate links, disclosed on the listing and on our disclosure page.

Data retention and security

We keep contact messages only as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterward for our records, then delete them. We take reasonable measures to protect the limited data we hold, but no method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights
